COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed former Pakistani cricketer Aqib Javed as their new bowling coach.
The announcement from Sri Lanka Cricket confirms that Aqib Javed will take on the role of bowling coach for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Aqib Javed is expected to join Sri Lanka Cricket immediately to begin his coaching duties, starting with a fast bowling camp as per the statement released by Sri Lanka Cricket.
His tenure as bowling coach will extend until the T20 World Cup, which is set to take place in America and the West Indies.
Having previously served as a bowling coach for Pakistan, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Afghanistan, Aqib Javed brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
In addition to his international coaching experience, Aqib Javed currently serving as the director of cricket operations and head coach of Pakistan Super League side Lahore Qalandarshas.
