Ayatollah Khamenei warning has drawn global attention after Iran’s Supreme Leader strongly criticised US President Donald Trump, saying arrogant and oppressive rulers ultimately bring about their own downfall.
Reacting to Trump’s recent remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei warned that history clearly shows leaders driven by power, pride, and arrogance do not last long. He said oppression and excessive pride always lead to destruction.
Ayatollah Khamenei Warning on Trump’s Arrogance
The Iranian Supreme Leader said the American president is deeply consumed by arrogance and reminded that rulers who believe themselves invincible eventually face humiliation.
According to Ayatollah Khamenei’s warning, Trump’s fate would mirror that of tyrannical rulers such as Pharaoh and Nimrod, who once ruled with absolute power but were later turned into lessons of history.
“Such rulers may appear powerful for a short time, but they are ultimately destroyed by their own actions,” he said.
Trump Responds as Iran Tensions Rise
Meanwhile, speaking to the media while travelling from Florida to Washington, President Donald Trump said the United States is considering strong options against Iran, including possible military action.
Trump said the US military is reviewing the situation and claimed Iran was crossing his red line, adding that people had been killed who should not have been.
He also said Washington could help restore internet services in Iran, noting that he would discuss the matter with Elon Musk. Trump stressed that both he and the US military were considering tough measures.
Separately, Trump warned Cuba to sign a trade deal before it is “too late” and said progress was being made with Venezuela’s leadership. He also reiterated his interest in making a deal with Greenland.
