Lahore: A case has been filed against Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan’s (TLP) Deputy Amir Pir Zaheer-ul-Hassan Shah for threatening to kill Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.
According to police reports, 1,500 TLP workers have also been named in the case, which includes provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act, religious hatred, sedition, and attempts to pressure the judiciary.
The charges also encompass contempt of the higher judiciary, interference in government operations, and obstruction of legal duties. Police stated that Pir Zaheer’s protest outside the press club incited hatred against the Supreme Judiciary, leading to the registration of the case against the TLP vice-chairman and 1,500 workers.
The case was registered at Qila Gujar Singh police station on the complaint of Station House Officer (SHO) Hammad Hussain.
