Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Haji Ghulam Ali stated on Sunday his commitment to bridging the divide among political parties in the region. He emphasized his efforts to facilitate uncontested Senate elections in KP, similar to Punjab and Balochistan.
“We are striving for unity between the Chief Minister House and Governor House, given their proximity,” Ali remarked, highlighting the need for collective collaboration.
He added, “I have formally requested the speaker to convene the session as per constitutional procedures.”
In a separate development, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman held discussions regarding the country’s political landscape on Saturday.
During their meeting, Zaman extended an invitation to Rehman to visit Hala, which the latter is expected to accept in the coming days, as confirmed by a spokesperson.
