PESHAWAR: The funeral prayer of Sepoy Waris Khan of the Pakistan Army, who embraced martyrdom in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday, was held in his hometown of Karak, as stated by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a press release on Tuesday.
The military’s media wing, ISPR, stated in the release that Sepy Waris Khan embraced shahadat while fighting bravely in the line of duty with terrorists in the Miranshah area of North Waziristan.
A large number of army officers, soldiers, relatives, and local people participated in the funeral prayer of the martyr, and he was laid to rest with full military honours, ISPR maintained.
At the age of 27, Sepoy Waris Khan left behind his widow, two children, and parents. The ISPR reiterated the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation at any cost.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier today, ISPR said in a statement that at least two terrorists were killed in two separate gun attacks in the North and South Waziristan districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
