ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted Bushra Bibi’s request on Wednesday, ordering her transfer to Adiala Jail. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of the IHC delivered the reserved decision after concluding arguments from both parties.
Bushra Bibi had petitioned for her transfer from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail. The jail authorities had argued against the transfer citing capacity and security concerns.
It’s worth noting that Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and former first lady, is currently serving imprisonment and facing penalties in the Tosha Khana reference and Illegal Marriage cases.
