A sessions court in Karachi granted bail to Natasha Danish, the driver involved in the Karsaz accident case, after the victims’ families pardoned her. In an affidavit submitted to the court, the families stated, “We forgive her in the name of Allah, who is the Most Merciful and Compassionate.”
The lawyer for the aggrieved families, Barrister Aziz Ghouri, clarified that no diyat (blood money) was paid. While the families confirmed that the matter was resolved amicably, the exact terms of the agreement remain undisclosed. The affidavit emphasizes that the forgiveness was given willingly, without any external pressure, and that the incident was unintentional.
Despite this, rumors have circulated, with some private television channels and social media sources alleging that the settlement included a financial payment of Rs50 million and a job offer at Natasha’s company for a member of the affected family. Similar claims have spread on social media platform X, suggesting that the agreement involved a substantial monetary component and employment benefits.
However, there has been no official confirmation regarding these claims from any party involved in the Karsaz car accident case, leaving the details of the settlement in speculation.
