The newly elected Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Suhail Afridi, hailing from the tribal districts, is expected to announce his provincial cabinet today.
According to sources, the chief minister has finalized a 10-member cabinet after consultations, which will include eight ministers, one special assistant, and one adviser. The information portfolio is expected to be assigned to the special assistant.
Former provincial minister Meena Khan confirmed that the short cabinet will be formed today, adding that its expansion will take place after consultation with the party’s founding chairman.
It may be recalled that Suhail Afridi took oath as chief minister on October 15, but the cabinet was not formed immediately. At the time, he maintained that consultation with Imran Khan was essential before finalizing the cabinet.
