President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received him at Nur Khan Airbase with a warm welcome. The Kyrgyz leader reached Pakistan with a powerful delegation that includes senior ministers, top officials, and leading business figures. His visit follows a formal invitation from the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
High Level Political and Military Meetings
President Japarov will hold detailed meetings with President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz, focusing on expanding Pakistan Kyrgyzstan cooperation. The Kyrgyz delegation will also meet officials from Pakistan’s political and military leadership to explore stronger security, economic, and regional partnerships.
Both governments expect to sign several important agreements and MoUs during the visit. These documents aim to boost investment, trade, technology cooperation, and regional connectivity.
This visit is the first by a Kyrgyz president to Pakistan since 2005, making it a significant diplomatic milestone. Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan enjoy long standing relations rooted in cultural, historical, and spiritual links that date back centuries.
In August, both countries agreed to enhance cooperation in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital finance. This step signaled their commitment to modern economic transformation and digital innovation.
Trade and SCO Cooperation
In July, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan also agreed during their inter governmental commission meeting to raise bilateral trade to 100 million dollars. The two sides continue to explore new routes for economic expansion, investment opportunities, and private sector collaboration.
Both nations are active members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), a major Eurasian political and security block that includes China, Russia, India, and Iran. Their cooperation inside the SCO strengthens regional peace, security, and economic integration.
