Islamabad: The Pakistan Creative Economy, Culture & Trade Council has announced the appointment of Kaiwan Hamid Raja as its Senior Chief Advisor for Media, Creative Industries & Digital Innovation. The Pakistan Creative Economy Council described the development as a significant step in its push to build a stronger creative sector in the country.

Kaiwan Hamid Raja is a well-known name in Pakistan’s media landscape. He serves as Executive Director of Khyber Network and CEO of Khyber Digital. He is also a member of the Committee of Complaints (CoC) at PEMRA and holds a VFM credential in Media Sciences.
The Council said Mr.Kaiwan’s arrival will help it widen its footprint in the media and cultural sectors. It also expects his involvement to open the door to new partnerships, both within Pakistan and abroad.
Officials noted that his background in media, digital innovation and creative industries in Pakistan fits well with the Council’s current priorities. These include promoting the country’s cultural heritage, supporting creative professionals and attracting international collaboration.
According to the Council, the partnership is expected to create fresh opportunities in several areas. It named cultural diplomacy, media cooperation, digital transformation and international trade as the main focus points.
The Council believes these efforts will help present Pakistan’s creative potential on the world stage and strengthen the country’s standing in the global creative economy.
In its message, the Council extended warm congratulations to Kaiwan Hamid Raja and said it looks forward to a productive association built on a shared vision. It expressed hope that the collaboration would lead to impactful initiatives and wider global opportunities for Pakistan.
Mr. Kaiwan Hamid Raja’s appointment is the latest milestone for the Council established by its Founder, Syed Usman Tahir, whose vision has turned it into a leading platform for Pakistan’s creative industries. A creative-industry leader, cultural strategist and educationist, Mr. Tahir works across the creative economy, culture, arts, design, education, international relations and trade. His dedication to connecting Pakistan’s creative sector with international markets, institutions, businesses, investors, cultural organizations and diplomatic communities is truly commendable.
As Advisor to the Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture, Mr. Tahir has played an active role in initiatives related to cultural diplomacy, heritage, international cultural cooperation and institutional engagement. Public reports have also noted his meetings with foreign diplomatic representatives, including discussions on cultural and educational cooperation between Pakistan and Russia.
