Rahim Yar Khan: A daring heist unfolded at School Bazar bridge near the city police station, where six armed individuals brazenly snatched a bag containing gold valued at Rs 180 million from gold traders.
The audacious thieves, unwilling to be thwarted, opened fire during the robbery attempt, critically injuring two courageous businessmen who resisted.
The injured traders were swiftly transported to the hospital by a rescue team.
According to the gold trader, the robbers seized the bag laden with gold, worth Rs 180 million, and resorted to gunfire in the face of resistance.
Responding to the incident, the police cordoned off the area and launched an intensive search operation to apprehend the culprits.
This unfortunate event echoes a similar incident in Karachi last month, where thieves pilfered gold worth millions from a flat in the Napier Road area, leaving behind a trail of stolen treasures, including a Penny Bank belonging to children.
