QUETTA: Pakistan’s security forces successfully thwarted a terrorist attack on the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Complex, eliminating all eight terrorists belonging to the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) involved in the assault.
The terrorists made a brazen attempt to breach the GPA Complex in Gwadar, but vigilant security forces quickly intercepted and neutralized the threat. The area surrounding the complex has been cordoned off to ensure the safety of residents and personnel.
The GPA Complex, housing crucial offices for the Gwadar Port Authority, law enforcement agencies, and staff residences, is under tight security as a clearance operation continues.
Commissioner Makran Division confirmed the incident and the number of terrorists killed in the operation.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah condemned the attack, emphasizing the strong resolve of the military to eliminate terrorists. He reaffirmed the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for Pakistan’s future and vowed to protect it from any harm.
