Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Mansehra to pay tribute to Lt Col Shehzada Gul Faraz, who embraced martyrdom while leading security forces during an operation against Khawarij elements. The visit reflected the nation’s respect for the Pakistan Army martyr who sacrificed his life in the line of duty.
During the visit, the Prime Minister met the mother, wife, children, and other family members of Lt Col Shehzada Gul Faraz. He offered prayers for the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the grieving family. He assured them that the government and the Pakistan Army would fully support them.
The Prime Minister also visited the grave of Lt Col Shehzada Gul Faraz and offered Fateha. He prayed for higher ranks for the martyr and strength for his family to bear the loss. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Lt Col Shehzada Gul Faraz laid down his life for the protection of the homeland and set a remarkable example of courage and bravery.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that the entire nation, including himself, feels proud of its martyrs and their families. He emphasized that Pakistan can never forget the sacrifices made during the security forces operation Pakistan is carrying out against terrorism. He called Lt Col Shehzada Gul Faraz a symbol of commitment and patriotism.
In a significant Danish School announcement, the Prime Minister declared that a Danish School would be established in Mansehra in the name of Lt Col Shehzada Gul Faraz. He said this step would ensure that the martyr’s legacy continues through education and service to future generations.
Several federal ministers and political leaders were also present on the occasion, standing alongside the Prime Minister to offer a collective tribute to Pakistan martyrs and acknowledge their unmatched sacrifices.
The visit ended with renewed commitment from the government to stand by the families of martyrs and continue efforts to eliminate terrorism from the country.
