Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfaraz Bugti, stated on Sunday that the people of Balochistan showed a strong message of religious harmony on Youm-e-Ashur. He said the province stood together to demonstrate unity and spiritual brotherhood.
In his statement, CM Bugti expressed deep satisfaction with the peaceful completion of Youm-e-Ashur processions and religious gatherings. He applauded the efforts of security forces, health staff, municipal workers, and district officials for their excellent coordination and service.
Bugti said the peaceful atmosphere proved once again that Balochistan is a land of peace and communal tolerance. He thanked all those who played a role in ensuring a smooth and secure environment during the religious observance.
The Chief Minister especially praised the Balochistan Police, Frontier Corps, Levies, and other security agencies. He highlighted their professional response and said their planning ensured sectarian peace across the region.
He acknowledged that the overall situation was sensitive. However, he emphasized that the performance of law enforcement agencies remained commendable and reassuring.
CM Bugti also appreciated the positive role played by religious scholars. Their guidance and support helped promote interfaith unity and kept the atmosphere calm and respectful.
He thanked the public for their patience, discipline, and full cooperation. Their behaviour, he said, reflected the values of religious harmony and unity that define the people of Balochistan.
