Pakistan Launches AI App to Stop Illegal Immigration and Fake Visas this major step by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi aims to shut down fake travel documents and illegal agents through advanced digital reforms.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced a powerful AI-based application to detect fake travel documents and identify who is eligible to travel. The tool will immediately help stop illegal immigration and expose visa fraud networks.
Naqvi co-chaired the meeting with Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain to review a comprehensive immigration reforms package. The leaders focused on improving the global reputation of Pakistan and protecting Pakistani workers abroad.
Crackdown on Fake Visa Agents and Forged Papers
Authorities will launch a strict crackdown against people using forged documents to move abroad. Naqvi said zero tolerance will be applied against fake visa agents, fraudulent travel advisers, and human smuggling networks.
Final recommendations for the immigration reforms plan will be submitted within one week. Officials confirmed that strict action will be taken against every network involved in the illegal visa business.
The government will make the Protector system fully foolproof to protect Pakistani citizens working overseas. Passengers will benefit from a smoother, safer, and more transparent immigration process.
Passports of deported individuals will be cancelled. Once cancelled, they will not qualify for another visa. Authorities believe this will discourage illegal travel attempts.
International Driving Licence and Passport Ranking
The National Police Bureau will issue a uniform international driving licence to Pakistani citizens. The government has begun contacting foreign states to improve Pakistan’s global travel ranking and strengthen the green passport.
Naqvi warned that illegal attempts to travel damage the country’s reputation. The AI app will block such attempts at the source.
Federal Minister Salik Hussain stressed the importance of authentic documentation for labour visas. He assured full cooperation from the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis to strengthen the Protector system and immigration reforms.
He emphasized that accurate documentation is essential for the safety and dignity of Pakistani workers abroad.
Naqvi confirmed that all immigration reforms aim to provide convenience to citizens and improve Pakistan’s global image. These measures will stop visa scams, protect overseas workers, and secure Pakistan’s international reputation.
