Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce donated $26 million to at least 20 charities across the United States this week, according to a representative, as reports continue to circulate about their expected wedding celebration in New York.
Neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed the wedding plans, and the announcement of the donations did not mention any upcoming ceremony. However, the charitable giving coincides with this week’s celebrations.
Among the organizations that confirmed receiving donations was City Harvest in New York. The nonprofit said the couple donated $1 million to support its mission of fighting hunger.
City Harvest CEO Jilly Stephens thanked the couple for what she described as a “love letter to New York,” saying the donation comes at a time when demand for food assistance remains near record levels and is expected to rise further.
The Rhode Island Community Food Bank also announced that it received a $1 million donation. CEO Melissa Cherney said the contribution would help the organization purchase and distribute nutritious food to families across the state.
Swift has a long history of supporting charitable causes. During her record-breaking Eras Tour, food banks in many host cities revealed that they had received donations from the singer. In recent years, she has also contributed to animal rescue organizations, disaster relief efforts, hunger charities, the American Heart Association, children’s hospitals and fans facing serious illnesses.
Reports suggest the couple’s wedding celebrations could take place at Madison Square Garden this weekend. Officials and venue workers have indicated that a rehearsal dinner is expected to be held on Thursday, followed by a larger celebration on Friday. However, neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed the event.
According to the announcement, the $26 million in donations was distributed among 20 charities, including nine food banks, seven educational programs, three children’s hospitals and one animal welfare organization.
