RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir on Saturday said that the armed forces were aware of the threats against Pakistan during his visit to troops in Khairpur Tamewali.
The field exercise of the Bahawalpur Corps was observed by the COAS, who, in a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), stated, “We are aware of the challenges and fully prepared to thwart any nefarious designs against the motherland with the support of the nation.”
During the visit, COAS Munir expressed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to defending the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. He assured that the Armed Forces, with the support of the nation, are equipped to overcome all threats. The army chief received a briefing on the field exercise, focused on enhancing professional skills and battlefield procedures to address future challenges.
The integrated fire and battle manoeuvres, involving elements like armour, mechanised infantry, artillery, air defence, and anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), were witnessed by the COAS. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Combat Aviation provided support during the exercise.
Army Chief Munir interacted with the participating troops, praising their training standards, operational preparedness, and high morale. He urged them to continue serving the nation with traditional zeal and passion under all circumstances. Upon arrival, COAS Munir was received by the Commander Bahawalpur Corps.
