Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a friendly phone call with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Tuesday, exchanging warm wishes for Eid ul Fitr.
During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized the strong ties between Pakistan and Qatar and Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation across various areas of mutual interest. He also reaffirmed the government’s dedication to boosting economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The Emir of Qatar reciprocated the Eid greetings warmly and extended his best wishes to the people of Pakistan. He appreciated Prime Minister Shehbaz’s invitation and expressed eagerness to visit Pakistan officially soon, highlighting the mutual desire to strengthen bilateral relations.
Both leaders confirmed their commitment to closer collaboration and expanding cooperation in various sectors to benefit both nations. This conversation reaffirmed the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Qatar, especially as they celebrated the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations last year.
Prime Minister Shehbaz later shared more details on social media, emphasizing shared prayers for Muslim unity and the prosperity of both countries. They also expressed determination to strengthen the existing friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar.
