ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his government’s and the Armed Forces of Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.
During a federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad, the Prime Minister strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and other regions that resulted in the deaths of innocent Pakistanis, including security personnel. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by the people and the Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism will not be in vain.
Sharif assured that the government would allocate all necessary resources to support the Armed Forces in their efforts to combat terrorism. He reiterated that while the doors of dialogue remain open for those who support Pakistan and its constitution, no negotiations will be entertained with enemies and terrorists.
The recent violence has claimed the lives of at least 38 individuals, including police and Levies personnel, in the districts of Kalat, Musakhel, and Bolan in Balochistan. On Sunday night alone, eight people, including members of the Balochistan Levies, were killed in attacks in Kalat district.
