Karachi: Pakistan Test spinner Sajid Khan has expressed disappointment over not being given a chance in Peshawar’s T20 team.
Speaking to the media at the National Stadium Karachi, Sajid Khan said that he has not been selected to play for the Peshawar region in T20 cricket. He added that he was also not given an opportunity in the National T20 tournament.
The off-spinner questioned how he can progress in white-ball cricket without getting chances. “If I am not selected in white-ball formats, how can I move forward?” he said.
Sajid Khan further added that if his own Peshawar region does not pick him, then who will select him in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He also mentioned that he had good preparation during training camps in Lahore and Karachi. However, he believes that people have labeled him as a red-ball specialist.
The national spinner said that his main focus remains on his performance, and he will continue to work hard to prove himself.
