KHUZDAR: In a tragic incident, senior journalist and Khuzdar press club president Maulana Muhammad Siddique Mengal lost his life in a blast in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district.
According to police officials, the blast targeted Maulana Muhammad Siddique Mengal’s vehicle, resulting in his death and injuring nine others. The injured have been rushed to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital, with investigations currently underway.
Additionally, in another unfortunate event, twin landmine blasts near Thaikedar Naddi in Duki district claimed one life and left 20 others injured. The first explosion occurred when a truck hit a landmine, followed by a second blast as bystanders gathered at the scene. The injured have been transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
These incidents follow a blast near a mosque on Kuchlak Road in Quetta last month, where a policeman was martyred and 20 individuals, including security personnel, sustained injuries, highlighting the ongoing security challenges in the region.
